Chicago 2016

It seems that the Chicago Olympics bid team doesn’t understand the idea of first come first serve. Stephen Frayne Jr., a 29 year old MBA student bought the domain Chicago2016.com back in 2004, two years before the bid was submitted. The bid team is trying to get that address from Stephen, by filing a complaint with an international arbitration organization. Frayne is asking the U.S District court to protect his claim to the domain. In addition to Chicago2016.com, he also has 39 other addresses that combine a city and a name, including Tokyo2016.com. The bid team claims that despite the fact that the address was purchased by Frayne, they have the right to it for some reason that is difficult to determine through all of the question avoidance.
