The atom processor is apparently better for more than netbooks and underpowered laptops, it has made its way into the cluster area. This atom based system has 10000cores, and is cooled by something called “Kelvin cooling technology”. I’m not quite sure what it is, but unless it involves hundreds of gallons of liquid nitrogen, it probably violates one or more laws of thermodynamics. This is still a concept, but a pretty cool one at that.
