Its convenient to have Word 2007/2008, it is compatible with just about all document formats. Unfortunately, on other word processors as well as older versions of Word, you can’t use docx documents. Zamzar can convert them for you. Just browse to upload, and the converted documents will be emailed to you. I guess you don’t have to upgrade just for compatibility anymore.
